Ride the Branson Scenic Railway and see views of the beautiful Ozark foothills and mountains that the passengers of days gone by enjoyed years ago when railroad travel was the only way to travel to the city. Departing from the historic 1905 train depot in downtown Branson Missouri, the Branson Scenic Railway is located just one block west of Lane Taneycomo and offers fun train excursions and a wonderful gift shop filled with train novelties like Thomas the Tank Engine Merchandise. The 40 mile roundtrip excursion generally takes about one hour and 45 minutes and leads through some of the most scenic regions of the Ozarks; across and beneath the area’s cross bridges and trestles and through the wilderness where wildlife abounds.
Many of the places that the train passes through are
still inaccessible by car, making the Branson Scenic Railway
the only way you can visit them!
The Branson Scenic Railway operates using a number of unique, vintage passenger train cars, and patrons
of the Branson Scenic Railway are invited to explore the entire train during the excursion; therefore, seats are never assigned
- feel free to move around and see a variety of views. Offering excursions from March through December, the Branson Scenic Railway is an
ideal way to get out and enjoy the scenery that abounds in the Ozark Mountains. During May through December the Branson Scenic Railway offers a Dinner Train on Saturdays at 5pm in which a four course candlelit dinner is served. On other days, and at other times in the year, the Silver Lake Car houses a concession area where refreshments can be purchased.
The Branson Scenic Railway is located just a short distance from our
